Usage
This product is the main material for cyanide-free electroplating. When formulated into a cyanide-free copper electroplating solution, it can directly plate copper layers on sodium-iron materials with excellent adhesion. The coating features a smooth surface and favorable color luster. The general dosage of the 60% content solution is 100 to 120 ml per liter, and the dosage of copper sulfate is 15 to 20 grams per liter. In addition, immersing the plated parts in a 1% to 2% solution of this product to activate their surface before electroplating can further enhance the electroplating effect.
Hydroxyethylidene Diphosphonic Acid (HEDP) is a new type of chlorine-free electroplating complexing agent. It serves as the main water quality stabilizer in circulating cooling water systems and functions in corrosion inhibition and scale prevention. It is one of the organic polyphosphonic acid water treatment agents. There are other domestically produced products of this kind, such as Amino Trimethylene Phosphonic Acid (ATMP) with the formula \([CH_2PO(OH)_2]_3N\), Ethylene Diamine Tetra Methylene Phosphonic Acid (EDTMP), and more.
Organic polyphosphonic acids are a category of water treatment agents developed in the late 1960s and recognized around the 1970s. The emergence of these agents greatly advanced water treatment technology. Compared with inorganic polyphosphates, organic polyphosphonic acids feature excellent chemical stability, resistance to hydrolysis, high temperature tolerance, low dosage, and combined corrosion and scale inhibition performance.
They act as cathodic corrosion inhibitors and non-stoichiometric scale inhibitors. When compounded with other water treatment agents, they deliver desirable synergistic effects. They exhibit outstanding chelating capacity toward numerous metal ions including calcium, magnesium, copper and zinc, and also possess good deactivation effects on inorganic salts of these metals such as calcium sulfate (\(CaSO_4\)), calcium carbonate (\(CaCO_3\)) and magnesium silicate (\(MgSiO_3\)). Therefore, they are widely applied in water treatment technology.
