Usage
It is specified as a processing aid for the food industry in GB 2760-96. It functions as a foaming agent, emulsifier, and anionic surfactant, and is used in cakes, beverages, protein products, fresh fruits, fruit juice drinks, edible oils, and other products.
1. Surfactants, detergents, foaming agents, wetting agents, etc.
2. Relatively low-grade ion-pair reagents, which are cheaper than sodium heptanesulfonate and sodium pentanesulfonate when requirements are not high.
3. Used as raw materials for material modification.
4. Additives for capillary electrophoresis analysis, usually prepared into molar solutions for use.
5. Also used in other analytical methods, such as flow column analysis.
Sodium lauryl sulfate has excellent detergency, emulsifying power and foaming ability.
