Usage
Used as a preservative and reducing agent, and also used in the production of sulfur dioxide, sodium hydrosulfite, etc.
It is used as a raw material for producing liquid sulfur dioxide (100% SO₂), sodium hydrosulfite (Na₂S₂O₄), and rongalite (NaHSO₂·CH₂O·2H₂O). In the pharmaceutical industry, it is used as a reducing agent.
