Its chemical name is 3,3,5-trimethylcyclohexyl salicylate, which can absorb UVB295 ～ 31Chemicalbook 5nm ultraviolet light. It has been approved by the US FDA, Europe, Japan and Australia to be used as sunscreen chemicals to protect the skin from UVB radiation damage. Homosalate is a UV UVB sunscreen agent, which belongs to chemical sunscreen agent and can absorb UVB 295-315 bands. However, some studies have shown that Homosalate has a weak effect on hormones and produces toxic metabolites. The amount required shall not exceed 10%.

By vacuum distillation, 12.2g of colorless and transparent fumaric ester was obtained with a yield of 70.8% and a GC purity of more than 99%.
