 Usage

Palladium (II) oxide monohydrate is a key precursor for the preparation of various palladium-based catalysts. Essentially, it takes advantage of the property that "Pd²⁺ is easily reduced to highly active Pd⁰ (metallic palladium)", and through reduction reactions, palladium is loaded onto a carrier to form highly efficient catalysts.

Utilizing the property of PdO·H₂O reacting with ammonia water to form the soluble tetraamminepalladium(II) complex (Pd(NH₃)₄²⁺), this complex serves as the core plating solution component in the "ammonia-based palladium plating" process.

In hydrometallurgy or the recycling of precious metal waste materials (such as spent catalysts and spent electronic components), the "amphoteric" and "coordination ability" of palladium (II) monohydrate are the keys to separating palladium from other metals (such as platinum, rhodium, copper, and nickel)
