Usage
Ethyl silicate (TEOS) is a colorless liquid, mainly used as heat-resistant coatings, chemical-resistant coatings, silane coupling agents, organic synthesis intermediates, and as a precursor for chemical vapor deposition (CVD)SiO2 films in the semiconductor field, etc. The melting point of ethyl silicate is -77℃, and its boiling point is 165.5℃. It is slightly soluble in water and soluble in ethanol and ether.
It is used as an insulating material in the electronics industry and also as a processing agent for optical glass and a coagulant
Used for precision casting as a binder for sand molds; The metal surface treated with ethyl silicate vapor can prevent corrosion and water.
