Usage
Dexpanthenol (D-Panthenol / Provitamin B5) is a biologically active form of pantothenic acid. It can penetrate the skin and hair cuticle and convert into pantothenic acid in tissues.
- Skincare: Acts as an excellent moisturizer, soothes irritated skin, reduces redness, repairs skin barrier, accelerates wound healing, relieves dryness and flaking. Widely used in creams, lotions, serums, masks, after-sun care and post-procedure skincare products.
- Hair care: Improves hair hydration and elasticity, reduces split ends, enhances hair shine, repairs damaged hair from heat and chemical treatments, commonly added in shampoos, conditioners and hair treatments.
- Personal care & baby care: Gentle enough for sensitive skin and infant care formulations such as nipple cream and diaper rash care products.
- Pharmaceutical: Used in topical ointments for skin healing and moisturizing.
