Its chemical name is 3,3,5-trimethylcyclohexyl salicylate, which can absorb UVB295 ～ 31Chemicalbook 5nm ultraviolet light. Homosalate is a UV UVB sunscreen agent, which belongs to chemical sunscreen agent and can absorb UVB 295-315 bands. However, some studies have shown that Homosalate has a weak effect on hormones and produces toxic metabolites. The amount required shall not exceed 10%.

By vacuum distillation, 12.2g of colorless and transparent fumaric ester was obtained with a yield of 70.8% and a GC purity of more than 99%.
