 Usage

The ultraviolet absorber UV-9 is a pale yellow or white crystalline powder, also known as Sunscreen Agent No. 2 and BP-3. It is suitable for various plastics such as polyvinyl chloride, polyvinylidene chloride, polymethyl methacrylate, unsaturated polyester, ABS resin, and cellulose resin. Its maximum absorption wavelength range is 280-340 nanometers, with a general dosage of 0.1-1.5%. It has good thermal stability and does not decompose at 200°C. This product hardly absorbs visible light, so it is suitable for light-colored and transparent products. It can also be used in paints and synthetic rubber. As a broad-spectrum ultraviolet absorber from Chemicalbook, it has the advantages of high absorption rate, non-toxicity, no teratogenic effect, and good stability to light and heat. The ultraviolet absorber UV-9 can absorb both UV-A and UV-B. It is a Class Ⅰ sunscreen approved by the US FDA, and is frequently used in the United States and European countries.
