Usage
Tetrabutyl titanate is highly reactive with polar groups such as amino, hydroxyl, carboxyl and amide groups, especially prone to hydrolysis with water. Soluble in a variety of organic solvents except ketones.
Tetran-butyl titanate is an organotitanium compound, used as a catalyst in polycondensation and crosslinking reactions. It is mainly applied in esterification and transesterification reactions, such as the synthesis of polyester polyols. It can also be used as a tackifier for metal-plastic, a modifier for high-strength polyester paint, a crosslinking agent, etc.
It is used in ester exchange reactions and can be used as a modifier for high-strength polyester paints, an additive for high-temperature resistant coatings, a medical adhesive, a crosslinking agent and a catalyst for condensation reactions, etc
