Usage
54% to 55% lithium bromide solution is used as the absorption refrigerant and is employed in large-scale refrigeration systems.
Used as a water vapor absorber, an air temperature regulator, an absorption refrigerant, a hydrogen chloride remover, a sedative, and for photography, batteries, etc.
Lithium bromide is an efficient water vapor absorber and air humidity regulator. A 54% to 55% concentration of lithium bromide can be used as an absorption refrigerant. It is also used as a hydrogen chloride remover in organic chemistry, a foaming agent for organic fibers (such as wool, hair, etc.). It is used in medicine as a hypnotic and sedative. Additionally, it is used in the photographic industry, analytical chemistry, and as an electrolyte and chemical reagent in certain high-energy batteries.
Anhydrous lithium bromide is mainly used as a water vapor absorber and an air humidity regulator. It can also be used as an absorption refrigerant and is also applied in industries such as organic chemistry, pharmaceuticals, and photo-sensitive industries.
