Usage
Calamine, also known as lu Gan stone, gan stone, lu Gan stone, sheep liver stone, floating water gan stone, furnace eye stone, and dry stone, is an irregular block, flat or round in shape, with varying sizes. Its surface is white or light red, with depressions or small holes, and it is powdery. It is light in weight and loose in texture, fragile, with a white or light red cross-section, granular in form and having fine pores. It is hygroscopic.
Calamine has astringent and protective effects and is used to treat symptoms such as skin itching, dermatitis, eczema, and red, swollen and painful eyes. For external use: Apply water to the eyes, grind into powder and sprinkle or mix and apply.
