Usage
2, 5-furanediformic acid is a derivative of furan. This organic compound was first obtained by Fittig and Heinzelmann in 1876. 2, 5-furanediformic acid is a highly sensitive and stable chemical intermediate. It can dissolve in water under alkaline conditions and is a white powder-like solid under acidic conditions. It is an important monomer for preparing corrosion-resistant plastics.
