Usage
Isooctyl nitrate is an important diesel fuel additive. Increasing the cetane number (CN value) of diesel can accelerate diesel ignition and improve engine performance. Fuel additives can change some properties of fuel, making it beneficial to improve combustion, so as to reduce the emission of harmful substances in the exhaust gas of internal combustion engines and achieve the purpose of energy saving. They do not require additional devices or changes to the structure of vehicles and internal combustion engines. They can improve the fuel energy utilization rate of diesel alcohol under low speed and low load, thereby enhancing combustion efficiency and reducing pollutant emissions. Therefore, they have been gradually widely used in recent years.
